Mentoring Initiative
A goal is to provide interactive assistance and encouragement to members, particularly beginners. We are fortunate to have advanced amateur and professional photographers in the club willing to share their knowledge. We also have a diverse mix of skills in other areas related to photography such as computers and imaging software.
Many members appreciate a "pro" advising them on one topic or another. We can do this with the help and cooperation of all members. Here's how:
Develop a list of topics.
Members may submit topics or questions. They will be posted here as received and then taken up and discussed in the next meeting.
Also, Don Cone is willing to arrange small group or one-on-one sessions between meetings.
These are one-time meetings held at an individual's home or a place like Fountain Park to discuss or practice specific photographic topics or techniques. The group size is usually limited to 4 plus a moderator/instructor.
If you'd like to participate, or if you'd like to arrange to meet with others less formally or even individually on a one-to-one basis, let Don know and he'll help put it together.
Please let Don know if you are in need of some help and can host a mentor or a small group, or if you have expertise in a subject and are willing to host two or three people and cover the subject.
